Hidden Gem!! Stopped for breakfast on our way to Key West & was very satisfied. Great food, great staff & all around great place. Definitely eat here!

This is a great place to be in Big Pines for breakfast. Bagels are fresh and crispy ( if toasted ). Cafe con kecge is really good in taste. We tried bagel with egg and lettuce and onions and plain bagles with low fat flavored cream cheese. We were very satisfied with the quality and service here. Very sweet people behind the kitchen too. Would recommend to anyone !!

I almost feel guilty writing this review; I know this place is only going to get more crowded; its a hidden gem! They have a great selection of not only fresh bagels but also homemade breakfast sandwiches, sweets(I got this giant dee-lush macaroon) & lunch items too. Oh & did mention the coffee -it's out out this world; you can choose from traditional ones(I got Guatemalan both days I went & a shot of espresso on the side) as well as lattes, cappuccinos & Cuban. The place is small but if you don't get a table you can get it to go & see the chickens tooling around in the parking lot or if you're lucky get a glimpse of a Key Deer like we did this morning. The staff is hard working, friendly & make every effort to be accommodating. We tipped both days because they were great & the prices are a steal for the Keys & the quality. If you don't stop here, you're missing out!

Loved this place. The bagels were super fresh and the cream cheese was out of this world. Variety of sandwiches and coffees. They have fresh orange juice ( along with other hot and cold drinks) which just made it better. Amazing place for breakfast or a quick snack. Great little homely place to start your day.

The best option for breakfast in the area! We stopped here one morning while vacationing in the Keys, and were very pleasantly surprised. Don't let the old strip mall it's located in scare you away. The atmosphere inside is warm, welcoming and cozy. Now the important part, the food. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! I split a bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel, and that was a good amount for my mother and I. I have to say that I'm typically really picky about egg on my sandwich(I won't eat it if it's been reheated/pre made, like fast food places), and the freshly cooked egg they made here was delicious! Try a freshly filled cannoli, you won't regret it. Lattes were great also. We loved it so much we came the next morning too. If you're anywhere near here in the morning, I definitely recommend stopping by.

Stopped in for a bite for breakfast and if you come for nothing else, come for their killer coffee!! I saw a previous comment about how unfair it is they charge for refills. I have to disagree. They are a small business with quality ingredients. I'm sure they simply can not afford to let everyone help themselves to a second cup. Starbucks doesn't even do that!! The food was great too and reasonably priced. I had the Lox and bagel and the lox weren't overly salty and the bagel could rival those in New York. Give it a try!

Really good chocolate croissant, decent coffee. It's in a strip mall, but overall a cool place. When we went, it was packed so we ended up eating in the parking lot. If at Bahia Honda, check this place out.

Almost missed this great place. Our GPS told us to turn left when this place is really to the right inside a small shopping center. We were looking for a breakfast place. We orde croissants, bagel and pastries, all were delicious. We will surely be back.

Other than the early close time, Bagel Island Coffee and Deli has the goods. Tasty variety-rich coffees, blueberry muffins that will make any carb-conscience person think twice and fresh, homemade bagels that are awesome. Meals are made to order, so be patient. There's plenty of parking in front. Friendly staff, clean restroom and plenty of seating make Bagel Island Coffee and Deli a win for any breakfast or lunch option.

Delicious! This was the first place my husband and I went to after moving to Big Pine Key, and we were impressed. The Reuben sandwich is incredible- I'll be hard pressed to ever try anything else it was that good! We also split an Italian sandwich on an asiago bagel, and we were not disappointed. Very fresh! Everything is made to order, except for obviously the baked goods. We loved this place so much we came back for breakfast the next day. Enjoyed a chocolate croissant with an iced coffee, and we were impressed once again. Found this place tucked away in the Big Pine Shopping Center, in the strip mall with Winn Dixie. Highly recommended.

Bagel Island just might be my favorite island in the Florida Keys! Tasty NY style bagels, a variety of delicious spreads, and flavored coffees both hot and cold. We stopped on our way home from Key West, so $9.50 for 2 cheesed up bagels, a coffee and a Yoo Hoo sounded pretty fairly priced. It's in a strip mall near where the Key Deer hang out, not far from Hwy 1, but not easy to find. Also, I saw the nagging signs other yelpers whined about ("No topping off your coffee!" "Don't touch anything!" "Don't take our newspapers out of the building!" etc.) and agree they were pretty obnoxious. But the service was actually delightful, and I learned an interesting fact: Floridians don't like salt bagels like we do up north!

Very good friendly service, coffee was good, alittle watery, no flavored creamers. Definitely not the new York bagels I'm used too!

This place is great whether you're a local or just stopping through the area. It reminds me of mom n pop bagel shops where I am from in Upstate NY. Their bagels and cream cheese are great, and their muffins are huge! If I am ever in the area again, I am definitely stopping by to explore the menu a bit more!

Unexpected surprise My trip to the Florida Keys has been a disappointment in the food area- everything has been poor quality and over-priced. This was great food at a great price. I would highly recommend it!!!

They have the Best Bagel's in Florida. The Kids asked me to go here every day we were in the keys. It would be nice if they had real maple syrup; but overall great value for the money.

The coffee drinks here are great, and the danishes and bagels are fresh and delicious. Eatinginside is definitively a must because it is so quaint and casual. They have newspapers at every table and friendly cashiers that make your stay worthwhile. I did not try any of their breakfast selections, but the quick bite danishes were yummy.
